FAQs

How far in advance should I order a cake?

Ideally at least 2 weeks, but longer is advised as I am often booked up for up to a month in advance.

For wedding cakes it is advisable to book as soon as possible, it is never too early!

Do you offer gluten free cakes?

I can use alternatives to wheat flour however I must stress that all cakes are made in my home kitchen where gluten is regularly used so I cannot guarantee that they are free of all traces.

How about other allergens?

I can cater for other allergies but cannot guarantee that they are 100% free of any allergen. When ordering a cake for any one with an allergy please consult me first.

Do you make vegan cakes?

No I don't sorry.

Can you cater for dairy free?

Yes I can.

Do you deliver or do I collect?

Collection please for all single tiered celebration cakes. Bigger cakesand all wedding cakes (regardless of size) will be delivered by me.

How should I transport my cake?

Your cake will come in a cake box and is best suited to travelling safely in your car boot or footwell. When handling the box the sides and top of the box should be avoided.

Where is best to store my cake?

It's best kept in a cool dry place. If you prefer to keep it in the fridge let it come up to room temperature before you eat it, it will taste much better.

How long will my cake keep?

It is definitely best eaten straight away, so please order it for the day or day before you need it. If you have some leftover it will keep for up to 5 days if stored in an airtight container.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

A £15 or 20% deposit (which ever is greater) is required with any celebration cake order and then payment in full prior to collection.
